During the KLAS User's Conference last week, we has several sessions that were geared to Resource Centers. During one of these, Cyndi Hammonds from the California Clearinghouse for Specialized Media and Technology (CSMT) mentioned a listserve for braille materials - and that at this time of year, her larger school districts often offer up free copies of materials that they no longer want to store. If you were interested in seeing what is on the listserve, you'd have to sign up, using the instructions Cyndi has below:

The application can be found on our website at www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/sm < www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/sm > and the link is called Braille n Teach ( www.cde.ca.gov/re/pn/sm/documents/bntregistration.pdf ) . Someone wanting to subscribe would need to fill this out, sign and return via email or fax to CSMT.
