FYI - There is currently an issue with Transfers coming in from WebReads libraries. These transfers are missing basic Patron information (such as Name, PIMMS ID, etc) that KLAS needs to receive before it can successfully import the patron record.
There is not currently a work-around, but Data Management is aware of and working on the problem. KLAS-to-KLAS transfers are not affected by this issue and are still working normally.
Please hold off on attempting to Transfer In patrons from WebReads libraries until we give the "all clear." Thank you!
To clarify: don't worry about any existing transfers or new ones initiated by a WebReads library, you can ignore them until this is sorted out.
I just don't recommend requesting any transfers from WebReads libraries at this time, so we don't have additional transfers pending in the system that cannot be completed.
WebReads has implemented a fix for the patron transfer issue, and all new patron transfers will be able to complete successfully.
We will need to reject transfers that were initiated by WebReads prior to the fix, so a new transfer can be initiated. If you have received a report of a transfer to your database that could not be loaded, please contact us. We have already started clearing out the ones we know of.
Once the incomplete transfers have been rejected, you can either initiate a Transfer in, or contact the losing library to request that they initiate the transfer again.
