"Help" not working

Good morning,

Is there something else we need to download for 7.7 to get the built in help feature working again? It work with any of the modules.

We're getting an error that i cant find the files: Cannot find help file: prohelp/icabeng.hlp. (AF:19)

Do we just need to re download some support files?

Thanks!

Good morning!

Unfortunately, the Help feature is not currently playing nice with 7.7... we are working on tracking down what broke so we can get it fixed. Hopefully it'll be back up and running soon! In the meantime, don't hesitate to contact us if there's a specific screen or feature you need some documentation for.

If you'd like to be notified when we have a fix for Help, send an email to so we can track the request.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

Oh, update! While we're working on the fix to get things working from the KLAS side again, you should be able to open the Help files separately.

Here's where it is:
  • If you installed KLAS "for all users" on that workstation:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Klas\[YOUR 4-character library code]-live\App\help\ (for example: NC1A-live\App\help\
  • If you installed for "just me," it should be:
    C:\Users\[YOUR workstation log-in name]\AppData\Local\klas\[YOUR 4-character library code]-live\App\help\
  • If you're having trouble finding it, you can also right-click on your klas shortcut and select "open file location." Then you'll need to back up one level, and open the App folder and then the Help folder.

Once you find it, just double-click on userguide.chm and it'll open right up! (If it doesn't open, let us know--that'll be important info as we track down the bug.)
