Photo of John and Laura smiling in front of a Christmas tree.

I want to take some time to say Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to you all, my customers and friends. In my twenty years at Keystone I've tried to develop and foster relationships with all that have reached out to me for help. Keystone allowed and encouraged this and I'm thankful to them for trusting me with your care.

It's now time for me to start the next phase of my life. My wife Laura retired almost three years ago and it's time for me to join her. Friday December 30, 2022 will be my last day at Keystone. We plan to travel and enjoy spur of the moment adventures with family and friends. Plus a few “Honey Do's” that she's been listing over the years.

Thank you all and God Bless each and every one.
John Owen

Oh no!!! Say it isn't so. John, what can I say. You've been awesome and so helpful over the years. All the questions and knowledge. All the bumps and bruises we've been through over the years. It won't be the same without you around (whether I bug you or not). Whether it was my first weeks over 15 years ago at the library when you guided us through out transition from version 5 to version 7, barcode related advice, printer advice and insight, or the value of our times at conferences together to talk about work and life related things and a kind of kinship from both being here in Raleigh. I wish I had gotten a chance to take you out to lunch before you left. Maybe we can work that out some time soon. Best to you and all of your family in your retirement. Take care and know that you're close enough that you can visit here if you like anytime. So long and thanks for all the fish!!! Craig

John Owen!! (always said as one word :)),
You have been so patient with my incessant questions for over 7 years of learning, misunderstanding, enlightenment, and finally- being able to confirm and expand on past information shared with me. You were the recipient of long-winded explanations, minor panic attacks, and sifting and sorting of why things operate the way they do.

One thing you taught me that I am still perfecting is asking THE RIGHT questions. :)

Have a wonderful rest of your journey, you deserve it!

As much as I am tempted to say "it won't be the same without you," you will still be there in all the knowledge you have shared with us in the network, the programs and features you have created, and the example you were of patience and steadiness in your work. Best wishes in your next chapter.
